“ I had the pleasure of dining at Houstons restaurant in New Orleans and I must say, it was a truly memorable experience. Despite the restaurant being fully booked at 830 pm on a Sunday, the staff went above and beyond to accommodate us, even though it meant a brief wait and some rearranging of tables. While waiting for our table, we decided to order a couple of cocktails an old fashioned and a manhattan. Although they didnt have our preferred bourbons, the Woodford Reserve we settled for was actually quite delightful. Our server, Darcy, was a gem. She was attentive, friendly, and extremely knowledgeable about the menu. She guided us through the specials and offered her personal recommendations, which we greatly appreciated. To start, we ordered the spinach dip which was creamy and flavorful, a perfect way to kick off the meal. The Caesar salad was a unique twist on the classic, with the addition of corn adding a nice pop of sweetness. For our main courses, we opted for the famous French dip sandwich and the burger. Both dishes were cooked to perfection and packed with flavor. The French dip was juicy with just the right amount of au jus, and the burger was juicy and satisfying. We couldnt resist trying the key lime pie for dessert, and it did not disappoint. Creamy, tangy, and refreshing the perfect way to end our meal. Overall, our experience at Houstons was nothing short of fantastic. The food was exceptional, the service was outstanding, and the ambiance was warm and inviting. Despite a small hiccup with the bourbon selection, everything else about our visit exceeded our expectations. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a delicious meal in New Orleans. Instead of the light, fluffy biscuits I anticipated, I received two small, hard biscuits accompanied by cold butter and a bottle of honey. When I brought this to the attention of the waitress, she dismissed my concerns, stating she didnt see an issue and made no effort to address it. Despite this, my overall enjoyment of the meal, particularly the chicken sandwich, ensures that Ill return to this Houston eatery. Next time, though, Ill be sure to steer clear of the biscuits. ”
